Financial literacy through a sustainability lens
GreenMint is a free, hybrid high school curriculum platform that teaches personal finance through a sustainability lens, helping students make sound money decisions while understanding their impact on people and the planet.
The platform offers two courses: CA Personal Finance, covering income, budgeting, saving, credit, investing, and sustainable spending; and AP Business with Personal Finance, which adds entrepreneurship, green marketing, ROI on green upgrades, and ESG investing.
Lessons are built for teachers first — minimal prep, ready for a 45-minute period, a block period, homework, or self-paced study, with print-ready materials for low-device classrooms.
Each unit is anchored in a real-world sustainability scenario and taught through simulations, discussions, and projects designed for visual, collaborative, and reading/writing learners alike.
GreenMint was founded by Sufee Kathane and is guided by an advisory team including a CPA and retired business department lead, a business teacher and UX design researcher, and a financial mentor and sustainability researcher.
Teachers who adopt GreenMint get full onboarding, a complete materials package, and access to an ongoing teacher community.
